Old Sessions House

Old Sessions House on Clerkenwell Green, built in 1780 as a courthouse and now used as a dynamic all-day destination for both work and leisure.

This imposing courthouse was purchased by lifestyle hospitality company, Ennismore, in 2018 and used as their head office.

Ateliers London were commissioned to create a number of bespoke furniture items for their extensive office and meeting areas.

For the vast communal areas, we created several bespoke sofas, ottomans and armchairs. Each was designed with a nod to the building’s Georgian roots but with comfort and contemporary style in abundance. Traditional Chesterfield sofa’s were upholstered in soft blush coloured velvet and banquettes in matching tones.

We also created a range of dark wood coffee and side tables. The sympathetic restoration of Sessions House retained Georgian details whilst gaining a stylish and contemporary vibe to match that of Ennismore’s well known hotels. One of the many rooms was converted into a beautiful meeting space. Our team were tasked with creating a large, bespoke aged oak meeting table and upholstered chairs. A bank of apothecary style drawers was also created at our London workshop along with some bespoke occasional chairs.
